Discover the beauty of Lake Marker

A holiday in the middle of the countryside and on the edge of Lake Marker (known locally as Markermeer), but also not far from the Dutch capital of Amsterdam and the village of Volendam where Dutch traditions are kept alive. Campsite Camping en Jachthaven Uitdam has just this special location. The campsite is part of EuroParcs Resort Poort van Amsterdam. Here, everything revolves around the water. Not only is Lake Marker at your feet, there is also an indoor swimming pool, and a marina nearby. But the campsite is also a perfect base for beautiful bike rides and day trips.

Water, dikes and places like Volendam, Amsterdam and the beautiful island of Marken within easy reach. It doesn't get any more Dutch than this. Camping en Jachthaven Uitdam is situated in a beautiful spot in the north-west of the Netherlands, directly on Lake Marker. Driving to this campsite, it will be clear to you even before you arrive how important the water really is in this region. You will be driving to your camping spot over a meandering dyke road, through the meadows and past long ribbon villages. What a beautiful route!

Watery fun guaranteed

During your holiday you have a wide choice of water activities. The campsite even has its own marina. Sail a boat on Lake Marker, rent a pedal boat, try your hand at fishing, jump into the water or build a sandcastle on the beach. Even in not-so-good weather, there’s still good swimming, because campsite guests can also use the swimming pool at EuroParcs Resort Poort van Amsterdam. This small but pleasant indoor pool even has a pirate ship.

Dining on the marina

Camping en Jachthaven Uitdamis a pleasant campsite on one of the most beautiful spots on Lake Marker. But you can also make use of all the facilities at the adjacent holiday park. This is also where you will find most of the amenities. Enjoy a snack or drink at the marina or play a game of mini golf. Or let the children have fun in the playgrounds, on the sports field or on the bouncy castle. The campsite does of course have toilet facilities. And on the beach at Lake Marker your little campers can play with sand and mess around with water.

Camping with a view

Want to open the front of your tent every morning and have a cup of coffee while looking out over the water? Then this is the campsite for you! Every day you can enjoy the beautiful view over Lake Marker and the green surroundings. All pitches are directly on the water. A little further back you'll find the bungalows and chalets, but even from there it’s still a beautiful view!

Picturesque villages and big cities

The campsite is situated on a quiet spot a stone's throw from Uitdam. Grab your bike or rent one at the holiday park to discover this special village and its beautiful surroundings. The port of Monnickendam and the picturesque island of Marken are also great destinations for a day out. From Marken you can take the ferry to Volendam and treat yourself to a fish on the dyke. Or have a picture taken of your family in traditional Dutch costume. Of course, a day in Amsterdam should not be missed either. From the Anne Frank House to the Johan Cruijff ArenA and from a boat trip through the canals to a drink on one of the charming pavement cafes: Amsterdam has something for everyone.
